Udaipur / Rajsamand : A tense atmosphere prevailed in Rajnagar (Rajsamand) after two young men were assaulted Thursday late night. Following the incident, people gathered and in a fit of rage, smashed the windows of vehicles. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and controlled the situation. The city was enveloped in a tense atmosphere. People insisted on the arrest of the accused and started shouting slogans.

According to police sources, Krishna and Rahul were sitting on Mamu Bhanj Road within the Rajnagar police station circle when they were attacked by a group of 3-4 individuals from a specific community. Following an altercation, the victims were assaulted. The family has filed a complaint at the Rajnagar police station. The police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused. The situation in the area is currently under control.
As a precautionary measure, ASP Mahendra Parikh, DySP Vivek Singh, Kanakroli Police Station In-charge Hanwant Singh Sodha, Rajnagar Police Station In-charge Ramesh Meena, along with the Nathdwara DySP and a large police contingent, were deployed to the spot.
The angry mob gathered at the Rajnagar police station, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. To prevent any further incidents, police vehicles patrolled areas like Dani Chabutra, Fountain Chowk bus stand, and Silawat Wadi.
