SpiceJet Shares Jump on Addition of Two Boeing 737 Aircraft

Mumbai, December 10 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of SpiceJet Ltd were trading sharply higher on the BSE on Tuesday after the airline added two Boeing 737 aircraft to its fleet. The stock was trading at Rs 33.99, up by 1.49 points or 4.58 per cent from its previous close of Rs 32.50.

The scrip opened at Rs 32.60 and touched an intraday high of Rs 34.99 and a low of Rs 32.60. A total of 1,72,49,554 shares were traded on the counter during the session.

The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of Rs 10, had touched a 52-week high of Rs 61.99 on December 19, 2024, and a 52-week low of Rs 28.13 on October 8, 2025. Over the last one week, the stock moved between a high of Rs 35.50 and a low of Rs 30.10. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs 5,207.05 crore.

Promoter holding in the company stands at 33.45 per cent, while institutional and non-institutional investors hold 13.30 per cent and 53.24 per cent, respectively.

SpiceJet has added two Boeing 737 aircraft to its fleet to strengthen its operational capability and capacity across key domestic and international routes. Both aircraft have completed all required regulatory formalities and have already entered commercial service. The aircraft commenced operations on November 26 and November 29 and are currently deployed on key routes including Delhi–Bangkok, Ahmedabad–Dubai and Ahmedabad–Kolkata.

The addition has come at an important time as the airline continues to focus on improving connectivity, enhancing schedule reliability and meeting rising passenger demand. With these inductions, SpiceJet aims to offer greater choice and flexibility to travellers during the peak travel season.
