May 11, 2025 – Seoul, South Korea: The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be the company’s most refined foldable yet, with new leaks hinting at an ultra-slim profile and dramatically reduced bezels. According to well-known tipster Ice Universe, the foldable device will be taller, wider, and slimmer than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, possibly making it the slimmest foldable smartphone in the world.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 Dimensions and Design Refinements
In a recent post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ice Universe—renowned for accurate Samsung leaks—revealed the purported dimensions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as 158.4 × 143.1 × 3.9mm (unfolded). This makes it both wider and taller than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (153.5 × 132.6 × 5.6mm) and the Galaxy Z Fold SE (Samsung W25) (157.9 × 132.6 × 5.6mm), while being significantly thinner, both when folded and unfolded.
Earlier rumors had suggested the Fold 7 would be 3.9mm thick when unfolded and just 8.9mm when folded, which undercuts the current record-holder Oppo Find N5, which measures 4.21mm unfolded and 8.93mm folded.
Thinner Bezels for an Immersive Display
Ice Universe also revealed that the inner display bezel on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will measure just 1.0mm, a substantial reduction from the 1.9mm bezel on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This improvement points to a more immersive and modern look, with enhanced screen-to-body ratio.
Similarly, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to feature a 1.2mm bezel on the outer display, making it one of the most compact clamshell foldables in terms of frame footprint.
Launch Timeline and Expected Specifications
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch in July 2025, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. While Samsung has not officially confirmed specifications, leaks suggest the Fold 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, promising top-tier performance and efficiency. The Galaxy Z Flip 7, meanwhile, may be equipped with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 SoC.
As the official launch nears, more concrete details are likely to emerge regarding camera upgrades, software features, and pricing.
