Udaipur, January 25, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Republic Day will be celebrated ceremonially across the district on Monday, January 26. The district-level main function will be held at Gandhi Ground in Udaipur, where Babulal Kharadi, Minister for Tribal Area Development and Home Guards, will hoist the national flag and take the salute during the march past.

District Collector Namit Mehta reviewed the preparations at Gandhi Ground on Sunday and inspected the arrangements related to the main ceremony.
As per the scheduled programme, the main ceremony will begin sharp at 9:05 am with flag hoisting by the chief guest, followed by the national anthem and inspection of the parade. Contingents from the police, NCC, Scouts and Guides will present the march past. The Governor’s message will be read out during the समारोह.
Later, the chief guest will distribute appreciation certificates to distinguished individuals for their contributions in social service, implementation of government schemes, and various achievements. School students will present physical drill displays and cultural programmes. The event will also feature development-themed tableaux by different departments, showcasing government schemes and the district’s progress through models. The programme will conclude with the national anthem.
Collector Reviews Arrangements, Issues Instructions
District Collector Namit Mehta reached Gandhi Ground around 1 pm on Sunday and closely reviewed seating arrangements for guests, the general public and children, stage decoration, the flag hoisting area, and other essential facilities. He instructed concerned officials to complete all arrangements on time and ensure that the ceremony is conducted in an orderly and dignified manner. Special emphasis was laid on security, cleanliness, and traffic management to avoid inconvenience to the public.
During the inspection, ADM City Jitendra Ojha, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, and officials from various departments were present.
