Jaipur, August 13 (Kiran News). In a tragic incident early Wednesday morning, 11 devotees from Kasganj (Etah) district of Uttar Pradesh lost their lives in a road accident in Rajasthan’s Dausa district while returning from Khatu Shyam Temple. The accident occurred around 4 am on the Dausa–Manoharpur road near Bapi when a container truck rammed into the passenger pickup vehicle carrying over 22 devotees.

According to Dausa District Collector Devendra Kumar, 10 people died on the spot, while one woman succumbed to injuries at Jaipur’s SMS Hospital. Nine injured devotees have been referred to Jaipur for advanced treatment, and three are undergoing care at the Dausa District Hospital.
Police said the group had visited both Khatu Shyam and Salasar temples and was returning home when the accident happened. Initial investigations revealed that the container truck struck the pickup from behind, killing seven children and four women.
The deceased, all residents of Asrauli in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, include Poorvi (3), Priyanka (25), Daksh (12), Sheila (35), Seema (25), Anshu (26), and Saurabh (35). Four victims remain unidentified.
Severely injured victims — including Seema (23), Manoj (25), Naitik (8), Priyanka, Rita (26), Lakshya (7), Neeraj (20), and two others named Saurabh (26) and Saurabh (32) — received first aid before being referred to Jaipur. Four others with minor injuries are being treated in Dausa.
Authorities have contacted the families in Uttar Pradesh and assured financial assistance and all necessary support.
