New Delhi, May 26 – OnePlus is all set to unveil the Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition smartphones in China on May 27 at 2:30 PM local time (12 PM IST). Ahead of the launch, the company has officially revealed several key specifications of the Ace 5 Ultra, including camera details, display features, battery capacity, and chipset configuration—raising expectations for what could be one of the brand’s most powerful premium devices to date.

📸 Sony IMX906 Main Camera Confirmed
The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 sensor, featuring a 1/1.56-inch sensor size. The company teased a feature called “shadowless capture”, which appears to be aimed at reducing motion blur and enhancing image clarity in both day and night shots. Support for Live Photos has also been confirmed, which will allow users to capture short clips with their images—similar to Apple’s Live Photos functionality.
📱 Display: 144Hz 1.5K Panel with Eye Protection
The smartphone will sport a 6.83-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution (1272 × 2800 pixels) and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, offering ultra-smooth visuals for gaming and scrolling. It also features:
3,840Hz PWM dimming for reduced screen flicker
HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision support
TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection 4.0 certification
Hardware-level low blue light filtering
This makes the Ace 5 Ultra not just a performance powerhouse but also a visually soothing experience for prolonged use.
⚡ Battery and Charging: 6,700mAh with 100W Fast Charging
OnePlus is packing a massive 6,700mAh battery into the Ace 5 Ultra, paired with 100W wired fast charging support. The phone also offers bypass charging, which lets power directly run to the device without affecting the battery—ideal for gamers looking to avoid battery overheating during extended sessions.
To keep things cool, OnePlus has added a “glacier cooling system”, likely a vapor chamber or multi-layered thermal setup for efficient heat dissipation.
🧠 Chipset, Storage, and Software
The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, a top-tier SoC designed for performance-hungry users. It will run Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out-of-the-box.
The device will be available in multiple RAM and storage variants:
12GB + 256GB
16GB + 256GB
12GB + 512GB
16GB + 512GB
16GB + 1TB
Color options include:
Breeze Blue
Burning Titanium
Phantom Black
🏁 OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition Also Coming
Alongside the Ultra model, OnePlus will also unveil the Ace 5 Racing Edition, which will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset. While not as powerful as the Ultra, it is expected to offer a solid performance-to-price ratio.
🔍 Launch Timing and Expectations
Both smartphones will be launched in China on May 27 at 2:30 PM CST (12:00 PM IST). While there’s no official word yet on their global release, given OnePlus’ track record, the Ace 5 Ultra may be rebranded and launched under a different name in global markets, potentially in the OnePlus Nord or 10/11/12 series.
