Udaipur : The Surajpol police station in Udaipur has arrested one accused for beating and damaging a young man who sells omelets.
According to the police, Prem Chandra, a resident of Sukheda Kalighati Semari, filed a complaint that he sets up an omelet stall near the Udaipur taxi stand. On the evening of September 8, Saddam and his friend came to the stall drunk. When he refused to let them drink alcohol at the stall, they started abusing him and ordered four omelets. He made the omelets and demanded payment, but they beat him up and threw eight egg trays on the road, damaging his property.
The police registered a case and arrested Saddam Hussain, a resident of Government Press, behind Jarina Nagar, Kishanpol, in connection with the incident.
The accused has been booked under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 427 (mischief causing damage to property) of the Indian Penal Code. He is currently in police custody.
