Tehran, June 23 — Contrary to US claims of having destroyed key Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities, Tehran Times has reported that the Fordow nuclear site remains unharmed following recent American airstrikes. According to the Iranian newspaper, US President Donald Trump ordered B-2 bomber aircraft to conduct strikes deep inside Iran, marking Washington’s direct involvement in Israel’s ongoing conflict with Tehran.

The report states that US forces targeted three nuclear sites in Iran and that Trump subsequently announced on his Truth Social platform that the country’s key nuclear enrichment facilities had been completely destroyed. However, Tehran Times asserts that this assessment is inaccurate, and the Fordow facility, in particular, has not sustained any significant damage.
Fordow’s Structure Remains Intact
According to the report, American strikes also hit the Esfahan and Natanz nuclear facilities — locations previously targeted by Israeli forces last Friday. Iranian authorities had already relocated enriched uranium and critical technologies from these sites following the Israeli strikes.
As for Fordow, the report highlights that the underground facility is well-protected beneath a mountain. The site features five entry points, and satellite imagery indicates only minor damage — with one entrance and one exit affected. The core of the facility, buried dozens of meters underground, remains fully intact and operational.
Local Reports Show No Signs of Disruption
Locals near Fordow reportedly observed no smoke or fire following the airstrikes. In Qom, the nearest city to the site, daily life continued without disruption, with residents going about their regular routines. The local population has acknowledged that the country has been at war since June 13, following Israel’s military actions.
As tensions in the region remain high, the conflicting narratives between Washington and Tehran are likely to further fuel uncertainty in the global diplomatic and security landscape.
