Patna, September 2: JD(U) MLC Neeraj Kumar Singh has addressed several pressing issues including terrorism, Uttar Pradesh politics, GDP growth, SIR, examination reforms in Bihar, and threats received by Union Minister Chirag Paswan. He stated that India has clearly articulated its stance against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, with the country’s military and citizens providing an effective response.
Referring to the SCO meeting, Neeraj Kumar emphasized that India’s position is not new. He highlighted that India has taken action against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, making it clear to the world that terrorism is a curse for humanity. Questioning Pakistan’s political and democratic structure, he asserted that India plays a significant role among developing countries and in the Non-Aligned Movement. He warned that if Pakistan attempts to challenge India, its political future could face further crises.
On the AI video released by Akhilesh Yadav, Neeraj Kumar criticized its portrayal of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, calling it an insult to the Nath tradition. He deemed the use of such material in electoral politics as serious and urged the Election Commission to take the matter seriously.
Regarding the potential alliance between the Samajwadi Party and Congress in Uttar Pradesh, Neeraj Kumar likened it to boarding a sinking ship. He praised the Yogi government for controlling crime and riots in the state, asserting that the people of Uttar Pradesh will prioritize development and law and order, increasing the likelihood of an NDA government.
Discussing India’s 7.8% GDP growth, Neeraj Kumar stated that development should be viewed not just through statistics but also through changes in manufacturing and infrastructure. He cited significant infrastructure projects like the Kosi Mahasetu, Atal Setu, and JP Ganga Path in Bihar as examples that transform living conditions and economic prospects. He also remarked on Rahul Gandhi’s political struggles despite economic growth.
In response to Rahul Gandhi’s questions regarding SIR, Neeraj Kumar called for action on the same issue in Congress-ruled states. He accused the opposition in Bihar of adopting a dual approach regarding EVMs and SIR.
Commenting on the Supreme Court’s order to dismiss the FIR in the NEET student protest case, Neeraj Kumar affirmed that youth have the right to employment and transparent recruitment. He stated that it is the government’s responsibility to create job opportunities and maintain transparency in the recruitment process. While acknowledging the right to protest, he emphasized that it should be controlled and reasoned. He welcomed the decision to form an examination reform committee in Bihar, stressing the importance of recommendations for the future of students and parents.
In response to questions regarding TRE-4, Neeraj Kumar targeted the RJD, recalling past issues with teacher recruitment exams and claims of the then education minister not signing files. He assured that the examination process is being revised and that the government is committed to conducting recruitment transparently.
Regarding the threats received by Chirag Paswan, Neeraj Kumar stated that although the threats were sent anonymously, the Bihar police are capable of reaching the culprits.
