Jaipur, 15 December (Udaipur Kiran) — Acting on inputs from Jaipur Police, Nagaur Police have arrested three accused and seized ₹86,500 worth of counterfeit currency in a major crackdown on a fake currency racket. A total of 173 fake notes of ₹500 denomination were recovered during the operation.

Under the directions of Nagaur SP Mridul Kachhawa, the operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional SP Attaram Choudhary and Circle Officer Dharam Poonia. A team led by Kotwali SHO Vedpal Shivran acted promptly on a tip-off received through an informer.
On Monday, based on specific intelligence from Jaipur Police, the team raided Veer Teja Colony. Police had information that accused Ajay Singh, Ashok, and Jagdish were in possession of fake Indian currency and were planning to circulate it in the market.
During the search, the police recovered 173 counterfeit ₹500 notes from the trio. The arrested accused have been identified as:

Ajay Singh (36), son of Kalyan Singh, resident near FCI Godown

Ashok Jat (23), son of Hukma Ram

Jagdish Jat (26), son of Narpat Ram — both residents of Veer Teja Colony, Kotwali Police Station area, Nagaur
All three have been arrested on the spot, and a case has been registered under relevant sections. Investigation is underway.
Constables Garibaram, Rakesh Sangwa, Narendra, Durga Ram, Ghamanda Ram and Manoj played an important role in the successful operation.
