New Delhi, November 4 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Mitsu Chem Plast Ltd. traded higher on Monday after the company announced an expansion of its manufacturing capacity by around 655 metric tonnes (MT) per year across its existing facilities, as part of its long-term growth strategy.

The stock was trading at Rs. 101.00, up Rs. 1.40 or 1.41% from its previous close of Rs. 99.60 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 100.00 and touched an intraday high of Rs. 101.40 and a low of Rs. 99.65, with 437 shares traded so far. The company’s market capitalisation stands at Rs. 137.48 crore.
The BSE group ‘X’ stock, with a face value of Rs. 10, has recorded a 52-week high of Rs. 129.00 (on December 3, 2024) and a 52-week low of Rs. 83.25 (on March 28, 2025). Over the past week, the stock has traded between Rs. 101.50 and Rs. 99.10. The promoters hold 67.77%, while non-institutional investors own 32.23%.
The company stated that the capacity enhancement aligns with its strategic goal of achieving Rs. 1,000 crore in annual revenue by 2028. Following this expansion, Mitsu’s total operational capacity will rise from approximately 28,424 MT per year to 29,079 MT per year, strengthening its ability to meet rising customer demand and ensure faster turnaround times for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
The Rs. 85 lakh investment, fully financed through internal accruals, will be used to acquire advanced machinery aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, and quality. The move reinforces Mitsu’s commitment to sustainable growth, market diversification, and supply chain resilience amid increasing demand from key sectors such as industrial packaging, hospital furniture, infrastructure, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyes, agrochemicals, and disinfectants.
