Udaipur, February 11, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): International mountaineer and proud MDS alumna Mansvi Agrawal was accorded a grand and emotional welcome on her return to Udaipur after creating a golden chapter in world mountaineering. The reception took place at Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok, where MDS students and a school band created an enthusiastic and celebratory atmosphere.

The MDS family remained at the centre of the event as students welcomed their former student with placards, a band performance, and flower showers. The presence of teachers and the excitement of students filled the airport premises with a sense of patriotism and pride.

MDS Director Dr Shailendra Somani welcomed Mansvi in a traditional manner by applying tilak and presenting an uparna, and described her achievement as highly inspiring for the institution, the city, and the country. Her parents, Dr T.R. Agrawal and Dr Saroj Agrawal, became emotional on seeing their daughter after nearly three months. Members of the Agrawal community and city residents also extended a warm welcome from the airport to her residence.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mansvi said that hoisting the Indian tricolour on Mount Aconcagua (around 23,000 feet) and Vinson Massif, the highest peak of Antarctica, was a moment of great pride and happiness for her. She said such missions require not only physical strength but also strong mental determination, especially while facing extreme cold, strong winds, and harsh conditions.

Mansvi Agrawal has earned the distinction of becoming Rajasthan’s first mountaineer to conquer Vinson Massif and the second woman from the state to reach Mount Aconcagua. Out of 22 mountaineers from across the world, only 12 were successful in the challenging expedition. Earlier, she has also scaled Mount Elbrus in Europe and Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, achieving the feat of conquering the highest peaks of four continents in less than five months.

Her historic achievement is a matter of pride not only for MDS School, Udaipur, and Rajasthan, but for the entire nation, and serves as an inspiration for the youth, especially young girls, to pursue their dreams with determination and hard work.
