Lucknow, March 23 : Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati on Wednesday demanded imposition of President’s rule in the Congress-ruled Rajasthan amid growing atrocities against dalits and tribals. Taking to Twitter, Mayawati said, “Incidents of atrocities on dalits and adivasis have increased tremendously under the Rajasthan Congress government. Recently, the rape of dalit girls in Didwana and Dholpur, killing of a dalit youth with a tractor in Alwar and murder of another youth in Jodhpur’s Pali have shaken the dalit society.” She further said, “It is clear from this that the Congress government has completely failed in Rajasthan, especially in protecting the dalits and adivasis. Therefore, it would be appropriate that by dismissing this government and President’s rule should be imposed there. This is the demand of BSP.” MB RNJ
