Mumbai, December 29 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) traded higher on Monday after the company announced that it had secured a major infrastructure project in Telangana. The stock was trading at ₹4,053.10 on the BSE, up by ₹8.00 or 0.20 per cent from its previous close of ₹4,045.10.
During the session, the scrip opened at ₹4,032.80 and touched an intraday high of ₹4,060.50 and a low of ₹4,032.80. Around 8,341 shares were traded on the counter. The stock’s 52-week high stands at ₹4,139.00, while the 52-week low is ₹2,967.65. The company’s current market capitalisation is ₹5.56 lakh crore.
Institutional investors hold a 63.07 per cent stake in the company, while non-institutional investors own 36.93 per cent.
Larsen & Toubro’s transportation infrastructure vertical has secured a major order for the Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road project, with the contract value ranging between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore. The project pertains to Phase-II of the Greenfield Radial Road and involves the construction of a 22.3-kilometre, six-lane (3+3) access-controlled corridor in the Ranga Reddy district.
As part of the project scope, L&T will construct a 3.6-kilometre-long viaduct, along with minor bridges, underpasses, service roads, extensive retaining structures, stormwater drainage systems, footpaths, cycle tracks and landscaping works.
The project is part of a larger plan to develop radial corridors connecting Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road with the upcoming Regional Ring Road. It is expected to significantly improve connectivity to key areas such as IT hubs, the Electronic City, the Young India Skills University and the proposed Bharat Future City.
