Mumbai, October 5 (Udaipur Kiran News): South Indian actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty has once again captured the spotlight as his much-awaited film ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ continues to dominate the box office. The film has won over audiences with its powerful storyline, stunning visuals, and Rishab’s intense performance.

According to trade portal Sacnilk, the film earned ₹55 crore on its third day, pushing its total domestic collection to ₹162.85 crore. The movie entered the ₹150 crore club within just three days. It collected ₹61.85 crore on Day 1 and ₹46 crore on Day 2. Made on a budget of ₹125 crore, the film has already recovered its cost and moved into the profit zone.
‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara’, which was made on a modest ₹15 crore budget and went on to earn over ₹400 crore worldwide, setting new records in Indian cinema.
Rishab Shetty has not only acted in the film but also directed and co-produced it. Set in the fictional village of Kantara in Karnataka, the story blends Indian traditions, folklore, and spirituality in a visually rich narrative. The film also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.
Released in seven languages — Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, and English — the film aims to reach a global audience eager to experience its mystical world.
Following the massive success, the makers have officially announced the next installment, titled ‘Kantara Chapter 2’, which promises an even more thrilling storyline.
