Mumbai, October 5 (Udaipur Kiran) : Actress Sonali Bendre has expressed her strong connection with the character ‘Pashya’ in her upcoming film, ‘Sohla.’ In a recent interview, she shared that the character and his world resonated with her from the very first moment. Bendre described the film’s universe as familiar, filled with little details that eventually create lasting memories for audiences.
Discussing her experience, Bendre said, “There was something about Pashya and his world that I connected with almost instantly. It is simple and relatable, filled with those small things that become a part of our memories over time. The trailer offers just a glimpse of that world, and I hope that when audiences watch the film, they will feel something similar to what I felt when I first connected with ‘Sohla.’ Perhaps I even saw a reflection of my own life in Pashya’s story.”
Director Saikat Bagban elaborated on the film’s premise, stating that ‘Sohla’ tells the story of childhood and growing up through the eyes of a 13-year-old boy. Pashya lives in a world that feels familiar, yet he is at an age where everything around him begins to take on new meanings. Bagban hopes the trailer will pique the audience’s curiosity about meeting Pashya in theaters.
The trailer, released on social media on Monday, showcases glimpses of Pashya’s life and the people around him, highlighting family relationships, emotions, and experiences that shape his thoughts and life. As he transitions from the innocence of childhood, Pashya starts to understand his world in new ways, with family traditions, friendships, and various events taking on new significance. The film closely examines this transformation and the journey of growing up.
‘Sohla’ is particularly special for Bendre, as it marks her debut as a film presenter. Directed by Saikat Bagban, the film is produced by Goldie Behl under the banner of Rose Audio Visuals, alongside Sachin Srivastava, Ratna Srivastava, and Kavita Bagban under the banner of Carryon Films. The film is set to hit theaters on October 16.
