Hyundai Exter Night Edition launched in India at Rs 8,38,000: What’s going on here?

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Hyundai Xstar, Hyundai Motor India today announced the launch of the night version of the Hyundai Xstar in the Indian market. The Exter Knight Edition is based on the top-of-the-range SX and SX(O) variants and is priced between Rs 8.38 lakh and Rs 10.43 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can visit their nearest dealer to book the SUV. Delivery is expected to begin soon.

Hyundai India has also sold over 93,000 units since its launch last year. Ecstar Night Edition is the third Night Edition model from Hyundai after the pre-facelift Creta and Venue. It is available in five solid colors and two dual colors. These are Star Knight, White Atlas, Earth Ranger, Earth Ranger and Abyss Black Roof, Abyss Black, Gray Shadow, Gray Shadow and Abyss Black Roof.

In terms of design, the SUV features blacked-out front and rear skid plates, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with red brake calipers, blacked-out Hyundai logos, and Exter and Night Edition I am badges. Red accents can also be seen on the front and rear bumpers and the tailgate. The interior is completely black with red accents all around. It also features footwell lighting, metal pickguards, red stitched floor mats and red stitched seat covers with a “night” motif.

The Knight version uses the same 4-cylinder 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 83 hp and 114 Nm of maximum torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or AMT. Below are the ex-showroom prices for each variant of the new Hyundai Extra Night Edition.
