Mumbai, October 16 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of HEG Ltd surged nearly 2% in Wednesday’s session after its wholly-owned subsidiary TACC, part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, secured a ₹1,230 crore credit facility from the State Bank of India (SBI). The funding will support the setup of a greenfield manufacturing facility in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, dedicated to producing 20,000 MTPA of lithium-ion battery-grade graphite anode material.

The stock was trading at ₹520.30, up by ₹9.60 or 1.88%, compared to its previous close of ₹510.70 on the BSE. The scrip opened at ₹513.05 and touched a high of ₹523.35 and a low of ₹512.75 during the day. Around 10,325 shares were traded on the counter, with the company’s market capitalization standing at ₹9,940.27 crore.
The facility in Dewas is set to be one of India’s first large-scale production units for battery-grade graphite anodes — a critical component in lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems. This move marks a major stride toward building a self-reliant domestic ecosystem for advanced energy materials in line with India’s clean energy goals.
According to the company, the project underscores TACC’s commitment to advancing local manufacturing capabilities in key technologies that will support India’s energy transition and electric mobility expansion.
Promoters currently hold 55.78% in HEG, while institutions and non-institutions hold 18.88% and 25.34%, respectively.
