  • Rickshaw pullers

  • Street vendors

  • Construction workers

  • Head load workers and other manual laborers

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age: Between 18 and 40 years

  • Monthly income: Not exceeding ₹15,000

Monthly Contribution Details

The contribution amount varies based on the age at which you join the scheme:

For every contribution made by the worker, the government contributes an equal amount, doubling the savings and making this a co-contributory pension scheme.

To get the full benefits, contributions must be made continuously until the age of 60, after which the pension is paid out every month for life.

How to Apply for PM-SYM

  1. Visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC).

  2. Carry your Aadhaar card and bank passbook.

  3. Fill out the registration form and submit biometric authentication.

  4. Choose your monthly contribution based on age.

  5. The LIC of India manages the pension fund.

Once registered, you will receive a pension card, and contributions will be auto-debited monthly from your bank account.
