Mumbai, November 5 (Udaipur Kiran) — Shares of Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) declined nearly 2% on Tuesday after the FMCG major reported a 7% fall in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2FY26), despite a moderate rise in revenue.

The stock is currently trading at ₹1,155.40, down ₹23.30 or 1.98% from its previous close of ₹1,178.70 on the BSE. The scrip opened at ₹1,181.35 and has touched a high of ₹1,181.35 and a low of ₹1,152.75 during the session, with 14,787 shares traded so far.
The BSE Group ‘A’ stock, with a face value of ₹1, has a 52-week high of ₹1,308.40 (recorded on September 4, 2025) and a 52-week low of ₹979.75 (on March 4, 2025). The company’s market capitalization stands at ₹1,18,301.35 crore.
Promoters hold 53.06% of the company’s shares, while institutional and non-institutional investors own 31.82% and 15.12%, respectively.
For Q2FY26, GCPL reported a standalone net profit of ₹356.25 crore, down 9.24% from ₹392.54 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s total income rose 2.56% to ₹2,436.78 crore, compared to ₹2,376.03 crore in Q2FY25.
On a consolidated basis, the company’s net profit declined 6.51% to ₹459.34 crore, compared to ₹491.31 crore in the year-ago quarter. However, total income rose 3.61% to ₹3,887.94 crore, against ₹3,752.32 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The decline in profitability is attributed to higher input costs and increased marketing expenditure, even as revenue growth remained modest across domestic and international markets.
