Jaipur, September 24 (Udaipur Kiran News): In a major success under the special campaign against counterfeit currency, Jhalawar Police have arrested a state-level criminal carrying a reward of ₹10,000. The accused, identified as Amarchand alias Radhe Meena, a resident of Richhva village under Aklera police station, had been absconding for the past two years while hiding in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Top-10 Wanted Criminal
Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar said Amarchand was wanted in several fake currency cases across states. He was an accused in the 2023 counterfeit currency case at Aklera police station and was listed among the Top-10 wanted criminals at the station, circle, and district levels.
Wanted in Multiple States
The accused was not only wanted in Jhalawar but also by Kotwali Police Station (Ajmer), Beawar City Police Station (Beawar district), and the Delhi Crime Branch in connection with fake note circulation. Despite repeatedly evading police through deceptive methods, he was finally tracked down by a special team.
Operation and Arrest
Based on confidential intelligence and technical surveillance, a police team from Aklera located Amarchand in Ahmedabad, where he had been living under a false identity. He was arrested in a well-planned operation.
The arrest team included SHO Bhupesh Sharma, Head Constable Mahendra, and Constables Lakhanlal, Dayalchand, and Kesaram.
