Auraiya, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News) – In a major relief for residents of Dibiyapur and nearby areas in Auraiya district, the Railway Board has approved a halt for the Amrit Bharat Express at Fafund Railway Station. The long-standing demand of local passengers has finally been accepted, as confirmed through an official letter issued by the Railway Board. However, the official schedule is yet to be announced.

The Amrit Bharat Express will operate between Madar Junction (Rajasthan) and Darbhanga (Bihar). As per the letter, the train will halt at Kishangarh, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Agra Idgah, Tundla Junction, Etawah, and Fafund, before proceeding towards Kanpur Central, Unnao, Lucknow Aishbagh, Gomti Nagar, Gorakhpur, Narkatiaganj, and finally Darbhanga.
The demand for express and superfast train halts at key stations in Auraiya had been pending for years. Recently, Rajya Sabha MP Geeta Shakya met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and submitted a representation regarding this issue. Following this, the minister directed officials to take necessary action.
The Railway Board’s letter, signed by Sanjay R. Neelam, went viral on social media on Saturday, confirming the new halt at Fafund Station.
Local residents and passengers have welcomed the decision, saying it will greatly benefit travelers heading towards Delhi, Lucknow, and Bihar. The halt is also expected to ease travel for industrial workers and students from Dibiyapur, a major industrial hub in the region.
