Jaipur, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News) – The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for nine districts of Rajasthan as a low-pressure area formed over the central Bay of Bengal is expected to bring light rainfall to parts of the state over the next few days.

According to the IMD, the weather system may influence light rain and thunderstorms in eastern, southeastern, and southern Rajasthan — particularly in the Kota and Udaipur divisions — until October 3. In contrast, western Rajasthan is likely to experience dry weather for the next 4–5 days.
🌦️ Alert Issued for Nine Districts
The department has issued alerts for Banswara, Baran, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Kota, Pratapgarh, Salumbar, and Udaipur districts on Sunday. The monsoon withdrawal line currently passes through Veraval, Bharuch, Ujjain, Jhansi, and Shahjahanpur, affecting weather patterns in the region.
🌡️ Temperature Swings to Persist
Weather fluctuations are likely to continue, with cloudy skies and scattered rainfall in eastern Rajasthan and clear conditions in western districts.
Over the past 24 hours, Karuali, Dholpur, and Sawai Madhopur witnessed cloudy conditions with light showers in places like Karuali city, Kudgaon, Khandar (Sawai Madhopur), Raithal (Bundi), Sunel (Jhalawar), and Rajakhera (Dholpur).
Meanwhile, western districts such as Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Jodhpur remained dry with rising day temperatures.
