As the situation escalated, senior officials and police teams from three nearby stations were called in. The area was turned into a security zone, and the atmosphere remains tense. Local sources said that force was used to control the mob.

According to Station House Officer Hukam Singh, the girl went to the field around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. A man allegedly approached her, gagged her, took her towards nearby bushes, and raped her after issuing threats. The accused fled after the assault. The shocked child somehow reached home and informed her family. She was admitted to MB Hospital, where her condition is stated to be stable.

On Monday morning, villagers gathered in large numbers at the police station demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. The protest turned violent, leading to damage to buses and a road blockade that caused long traffic jams.

Additional SP Gopal Swaroop Mewara, SDM Ramesh Sirvi, and extra police forces from Ghata, Mavli, and Fatehnagar were deployed to control the situation.

Police said the girl usually accompanied her mother but went alone that evening. Forensic and dog squad teams collected evidence from the scene, and CCTV footage from surrounding areas is being reviewed. Authorities assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
