
Chhindwara, August 23 (Udaipur Kiran): A horrific road accident occurred on Thursday night in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. A passenger bus belonging to Verma Travels, which was traveling from Bhopal to Hyderabad, overturned near Mohi Ghat in Pandhurna. Five people lost their lives in the accident, while 40 others were injured. Some of the injured are in critical condition. The police, with the help of locals, rushed the injured to the hospital.
This accident took place around 10:30 pm on the Nagpur-Bhopal NH 47. As soon as the information was received, the Additional SP along with a police force reached the spot and transported the injured to the hospital with the help of ambulances. Dr. Milind Gajbhiye and Dr. Vinit Shrivastava of Pandhurna Civil Hospital informed that five of those brought to the civil hospital have died. Treatment of others is ongoing.
Meanwhile, a passenger, Abhijit Kandu, who was aboard the bus at the time of the accident, said that the bus was speeding at the time of the accident.
