Dehradun, August 23 (Udaipur Kiran): Four Nepali citizens, all laborers, were buried under a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall near Fata in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Upon receiving information late Thursday night, an SDRF team led by Inspector Karan Singh rushed to the scene. Due to the blockage of the Doliya Devi road, the SDRF team had to trek two kilometers to reach the incident site.
Upon reaching the site, the team found that due to heavy rainfall, it was not possible for JCBs to reach the spot. Subsequently, the SDRF personnel themselves started the rescue operation by digging and recovered the bodies of all four and handed them over to the police.
The deceased have been identified as Tul Bahadur, son of Hark Singh Bahadur, resident of Chiton Oil Narayan district, Nepal; Purna Nepali, resident of Chiton Oil Narayan district, Nepal; Kishana Parihar, resident of Chiton Oil Narayan district, Nepal; and Chiku Bura, son of Khadak Bahadur, resident of Dehlekh Anchal, Karnali, Nepal.
