Udaipur, June 2 — Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability, Bank of Baroda organized a proactive ‘Plastic Hatao’ (Remove Plastic) campaign in Udaipur today, in anticipation of World Environment Day on June 5. The campaign aligns closely with this year’s global theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” and highlights the bank’s dedication to social responsibility beyond banking.

Staff Take to the Streets to Tackle Plastic Waste
Early in the morning, Bank of Baroda employees assembled near the Sub City Centre residential extension gate, where they undertook a collective effort to clean up plastic waste from the area. The gathered waste was responsibly handed over to the municipal corporation for proper disposal, setting an example of civic responsibility.
The initiative also included a public awareness rally, where bank staff interacted with local residents to educate them on the harmful effects of plastic pollution. They emphasized the need for reducing plastic use in daily life and urged the community to join hands in protecting the environment.
Leadership in Action
The event was led by Shri Alok Kumar Singh, Assistant General Manager and Deputy Regional Head of Bank of Baroda’s Regional Office in Udaipur. He was joined by numerous bank staff members, all actively participating in the clean-up and awareness drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Singh said,
“Bank of Baroda is proud to contribute to a cleaner, greener future. Through this campaign, we aim to inspire others to take small yet meaningful steps towards reducing plastic usage and preserving our natural surroundings.”
A Commitment Beyond Banking
This environment-focused campaign underscores Bank of Baroda’s dedication to sustainable development, aligning with national and global efforts to combat plastic pollution. By taking visible action on the ground, the bank is setting a benchmark for other institutions to integrate eco-consciousness into corporate culture.
