When Apple releases a new line of iPhones, they usually offer discounts on previous years’ models. After unveiling the iPhone 16 series at It’s Glowtime on Monday, September 9, the Cupertino tech giant has priced the previous generation iPhone models by Rs 10,000 above the launch price. Apple has also discontinued some older iPhone models in India to make way for the latest iPhone 16 series.
iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 prices reduced in India
Last year’s iPhone 15 and 2022’s iPhone 14 are now priced at Rs 10,000 on Apple Store Online. The iPhone 15 is currently priced at Rs. 69,900 for the base 128GB variant, which is lower than the original asking price of Rs.79,900. The 256GB version is priced at Rs. 79,900 instead of Rs 89,900, while the 512GB storage variant costs Rs. 99,900 up to Rs.1,09,900.
Similarly, the iPhone 14 price in India is now Rs 59,900 for the 128GB base model, which was earlier priced at Rs. 69,900 The 256GB and 512GB storage models are priced at Rs.69,900 and Rs.89,900. The iPhone 14 will launch in 2022 at a starting price of Rs. 79,900, but Apple has reduced the prices since the launch of the iPhone 15 series last year.
The iPhone 15 is available in black, blue, green, pink and yellow. The iPhone 14 will be available in blue, jet black, purple, red, starry white and yellow. Customers are advised to check the current prices of these mobile phones on e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart to get more discounts and offers.
If you don’t want to spend more on new models, you may want to buy previous generation iPhone models. Apple typically provides software updates for its mobile phones every five years. Some new Apple software features in Apple Intelligence are not available on newer models.
The iPhone 16 is priced at Rs 79,900 in India, while the larger iPhone 16 Plus is priced at Rs 89,900.
Apple has also stopped production of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models in India to make the latest phones. The brand no longer sells the iPhone 13 and Watch Series 9.
