Antony Waste Handling Cell Gains as Subsidiary Forms New SPV for Waste-to-Energy Project

Mumbai, 3 September (Kiran News) — Shares of Antony Waste Handling Cell rose on the BSE today after the company announced that its subsidiary has incorporated a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for a new waste-to-energy project in Andhra Pradesh. The stock traded at Rs. 577.00, up by 4.90 points or 0.86% from its previous close of Rs. 572.10.

The scrip opened at Rs. 570.05 and touched an intraday high of Rs. 582.00 and a low of Rs. 570.00. During the session, 7,236 shares were traded. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 1,641.19 crore. Over the past 52 weeks, the stock has recorded a high of Rs. 856.90 (on 6 November 2024) and a low of Rs. 460.65 (on 7 March 2025). For the past week, the share price ranged between Rs. 583.40 and Rs. 564.50.

As per the latest shareholding pattern, promoters hold 46.09% in the company, while institutions and non-institutional investors hold 16.77% and 37.14%, respectively.

Antony Waste Handling Cell’s material subsidiary, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions, has incorporated a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) named Kadapa Renew Energy. This move aligns with the requirements of the around 15-MW waste-to-energy project awarded by the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh. Antony Waste holds a 73% equity stake in Antony Lara Enviro Solutions, which in turn fully owns Kadapa Renew Energy, resulting in Antony Waste effectively holding a 73% stake in the new step-down subsidiary.
