Jaipur, December 4 (Udaipur Kiran): Acting on directions from the ACB Headquarters, the ACB Chowki Intelligence Unit, Ajmer, on Thursday trapped and arrested Nathu Lal Mahawar, Technical Supervisor in the Office of the Assistant Engineer (PVVS), Kekri, Ajmer district, while accepting a bribe of Rs 14,000. The bribe was demanded for issuing approval under the Surya Ghar PM Scheme for a legitimate work of the complainant.

ACB Director General Govind Gupta said that a complaint was received alleging that Nathu Lal Mahawar had demanded Rs 14,000 on December 3, 2025, for granting approval under the scheme. The demand was verified on the same day and the bribe amount was confirmed.
Following the verification, under the supervision of Mahavir Singh Ranawat, Superintendent of Police, ACB Ajmer Range, and under the leadership of Inspector Kanchan Bhati, the ACB Ajmer team laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 14,000 on December 4, 2025.
Under the supervision of ACB Additional Director General Smita Srivastava, further questioning and legal proceedings against the accused are underway. A case will be registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation will be conducted.
