Jaipur, December 4 (Udaipur Kiran): Acting on the directions of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Headquarters, the ACB Jalore unit on Thursday caught Mahendra Kumar, Senior Assistant in the office of the District Education Officer (Primary), Jalore, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

ACB Director General Govind Gupta said that a complaint was received on the ACB headquarters helpline number 1064, alleging that the accused was demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant for issuing school recognition and providing the UDISE ID and password.
Following the complaint, under the supervision of Jodhpur Range Deputy Inspector General Bhuwan Bhushan Yadav, and led by Additional Superintendent of Police ACB Jalore Mangilal Rathore, a trap was laid by the ACB team. The accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 10,000.
Further interrogation and legal action against the accused are underway. The ACB will register a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and conduct further investigation.
