Jaipur, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices in Jaipur will increase from midnight on Tuesday. Torrent has revised the rates of both PNG supplied through pipelines and CNG sold at petrol pumps.
According to the new rate list issued by the company, the price of PNG has been increased from ₹47.91 to ₹49.77 per Standard Cubic Metre (SCM). After adding taxes, consumers will now pay ₹53.50 per SCM, compared with the earlier price of ₹51.50.
This means the effective price of PNG has increased by around ₹2 per SCM.
Currently, around 50,000 households in Jaipur receive natural gas through pipelines for domestic use.
CNG Price Increased by ₹2 Per Kg
The price of CNG has also been increased by ₹2 per kg. Torrent currently sells CNG at ₹97.50 per kg at its Jaipur outlets.
After the revised rates come into effect at midnight, CNG will be available at ₹99.50 per kg.
PNG Prices Were Hiked in May
Torrent had previously increased PNG prices in May. At that time, the company had also raised the price by around ₹2.
The latest revision will increase the cost of both piped gas for households and CNG for vehicle users in Jaipur.
