According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, spokesperson for the Armed Police Force, a mountain rescue team from the Mountain Rescue Training School (MRTS) was deployed and completed the rescue after an intense nine-hour operation under extreme weather conditions.

The rescued group included a nine-year-old boy and a sick woman, along with others who were found to be in generally stable condition. However, one tourist sustained a leg injury, and the oxygen levels of all the rescued individuals were reported to be low due to prolonged exposure to the harsh mountain environment.

The rescue mission was carried out under the leadership of SP Top Bahadur Dangi, with medical and mountain rescue personnel navigating through steep, narrow, and snow-covered paths, where snow depth had reached nearly two feet. Using specialized mountain rescue equipment, the team managed to reach the stranded tourists and bring them to safety.

Authorities confirmed that all rescued tourists have been moved to a secure location and are now under medical observation. The operation has been hailed as a remarkable example of Nepal’s growing mountain rescue capabilities amid worsening weather conditions in the Himalayas.
