World Disability Day Marked with Awareness Programme at Vidya Bhavan School

Udaipur, December 3 (Udaipur Kiran): On the occasion of World Disability Day, an awareness programme was organised at Vidya Bhavan School, where students of Abhilasha School, Udaipur participated along with their in-charge Rekha Singh and teachers. The chief guest of the programme was Vidya Bhavan Sansthan’s Chief Director Shri Rajendra Bhatt, who was welcomed by Principal Mrs. Vijayashree Yadav. Board members of Vidya Bhavan Society — Mrs. Pushpa Sharma, Shri Gopal Bamb and Shri Arun Chaturvedi — were also present.

World Disability Day

The programme began with an inspiring address by Principal Mrs. Vijayashree Yadav. This was followed by a presentation by Mrs. Renu Singh on art and creative activities. Divyang students expressed their basic problems and life experiences through sign language, sensitising everyone present.

Chief guest Shri Rajendra Bhatt appreciated the skills, talent and determination of the students and said that persons with disabilities are a source of inspiration for society in every situation. During the programme, students of Abhilasha School were honoured with mementoes and prizes as a mark of encouragement.

Vice-Principal Mrs. Ranjana Sharma proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was successfully coordinated by Neelofar Munir and conducted by Lalita Chelawat.

At the end of the programme, a signature campaign was organised in which guests and participants pledged their support for the dignity, respect and awareness of persons with disabilities.
