Udaipur: The city has been witnessing a surge in mobile phone thefts and losses. To combat this issue, the Udaipur Police launched a special operation called “Operation Antivirus.” Over the past three months, the police have successfully recovered more than 550 mobile phones and returned them to their rightful owners.
Superintendent of Police, Yogesh Goyal, informed that under this operation, police personnel from all the police stations in the district updated complaints of lost or stolen mobile phones on the CEIR portal. Using this portal, the police traced these missing mobile phones and recovered them. A total of 548 mobile phones were recovered from various police stations in the district. Out of these, 194 phones were returned to the complainants at the police stations themselves, while the remaining 354 phones were distributed by the Superintendent of Police on Tuesday.
