SSB Recruitment Alert 2026: Applications Open for 76 Positions Including Head Constable

New Delhi, May 1: A significant opportunity has emerged for youth aspiring to serve the nation. The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has issued an official notification announcing vacancies for a total of 76 positions, including Head Constable in Group-C, Non-Gazetted (Combat), and Non-Ministerial categories.

The recruitment includes 30 positions for Head Constable (Laboratory Assistant), 12 for Head Constable (Physiotherapy Assistant), and 34 for Constable (Nursing Assistant cum Doctor).

The online application process for these positions has commenced, with the last date to apply set for May 4. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their registration forms on the official website before or by the deadline.

Applicants must possess a 10th or 12th grade certificate from a recognized institution or board, along with a relevant Laboratory Assistant course, a minimum one-year certificate course in Physiotherapy, and a first aid certificate from St. John’s Ambulance Organization or the Red Cross Society of India. Candidates are also required to have relevant experience and other specified qualifications and skills.

The minimum age for candidates is set at 18 years, while the maximum age is 27 years, calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), computer-based written examination, document verification, detailed medical examination (DME)/review medical examination (RME), and a final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 for the Head Constable position and ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 for the Constable position.

Applicants must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹100 for UR, EWS, and OBC categories. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, ex-servicemen, and female candidates are exempt from the registration fee.

To apply online, candidates should first visit the official SSB website. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the relevant position. Then, register and log in. Fill in all the required information in the form, upload the necessary documents in the correct size, pay the registration fee, and submit the form. Finally, take a printout of the application form for future reference.
