Bomb Plot Foiled in Sri Ganganagar Train Blast

Sri Ganganagar, November 4: A major plot to blow up a train in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, has been thwarted. The incident occurred on the Anupgarh-Suratgarh railway line, where a powerful explosion took place just 45 minutes after a passenger train had passed. The blast destroyed several cement pillars along the track.

Authorities, including the Superintendent of Police (SP) and a forensic team, quickly arrived at the scene following the explosion. The blast had a significant impact on train services along this route.

According to reports, a passenger train had recently traversed the track before the explosion occurred. The blast was so intense that it was heard in nearby areas, and debris from the cement pillars was scattered widely.

Teams from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and railway officials were dispatched to investigate the incident. It is believed that the explosion was intended to target the Anupgarh-Bhatinda train, but the plan ultimately failed.

Upon arrival, the ATS and local administration found that the cement pillars had been completely shattered, with rebar exposed and gravel strewn across the area. Investigators cordoned off the blast site and began their examination, while a large number of officials and onlookers gathered at the location.

SP Harishankar confirmed that the administration responded promptly to the blast and initiated an investigation. A bomb disposal squad was also called in to assist with the situation, and forensic teams collected evidence from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
