Community-Focused Awareness and Health Camps

Throughout the week, specialized outreach activities were conducted at various public locations across Udaipur. Oral cancer screening camps and awareness sessions were held for laborers at Pratapnagar Chauraha, truck drivers in Transport Nagar, and factory workers in the Madri Industrial Area. These efforts focused on educating attendees about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and the early signs of oral cancer.

Student Engagement and Creative Campaigning

To involve the next generation of healthcare providers, students of Pacific Dental College actively participated in the campaign. Events such as poster making, rangoli competitions, and other creative contests were held to promote anti-tobacco messages. These activities not only raised awareness but also encouraged students to become proactive advocates of tobacco cessation.

Mass Pledge and Patient Engagement

A collective pledge ceremony was organized, in which all dental surgeons and students vowed to abstain from tobacco. They also extended this commitment to visiting patients by administering anti-tobacco pledges at the hospital, thereby amplifying the campaign’s outreach.

Dignitaries and Experts Present

The closing ceremony was graced by eminent faculty members including Dr. Bhagwandas Rai (Principal), Dr. Kailash Asawa, Dr. Mridula Tak, Dr. Hemant Mathur, Dr. Himanshu Gupta, and Dr. Bhavesh Kothari, among others. Their guidance and expertise were pivotal in the campaign’s success.
