In recent months, there has been a lot of talk about the chipsets used in Samsung’s new Samsung Galaxy S25 family, which is expected to launch in January. First we heard that it would only be Exynos, then two separate reports said Snapdragon was expected everywhere.
Now another rumor from Korea, the home of Samsung, confirms the success of Snapdragon. The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra are expected to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor globally. Apparently, this was done to “improve the performance” of the S25 series.
The Exynos 2500 will be used in the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 devices, which will be released in the second half of next year. This is an interesting twist, as foldable devices have used Snapdragon chips so far. According to the report, by the time they arrive, Samsung will have time to improve the 2500’s performance and strengthen its performance.
