Samsung has yet to hint at the Galaxy S25 series, but before the company launches its next flagship series, several leaks have surfaced online about the design of the high-end Galaxy S25 Ultra model. While a series of renders recently revealed the design of the flagship phone, a new rumor suggests that it will be thinner than other flagships from Apple and Google. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ early next year. The phone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.
Prominent tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) on X claims that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra “will be the thinnest and lightest of all Ultra flagship phones to be released soon, including iPhone 16 Pro Max and Pixel 9 Pro XL”.
There are no official dimensions for the iPhone 16 Pro Max yet, but early rumors suggest the phone will be 8.25mm thick. For comparison: the Pixel 9 Pro XL is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 221 g. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is 8.6mm thick and weighs 232 grams.
Based on these measurements, we can conclude that the Galaxy S25 Ultra may be thinner than 8.25mm and weigh less than 220 grams. However, these design tips should also be treated with caution.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is scheduled to hit the market in early 2025. It is likely to be powered by the 4th generation Snapdragon 8 processor and may have some AI-based features. 16 GB of RAM and internal UFS 4.1 storage are expected.
According to the previously leaked information, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a telesensor. It will likely pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging support.
