Udaipur, 29 January (Udaipur Kiran): Under the Aspirational Block Programme being implemented by NITI Aayog, Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 was formally launched on Thursday at Khairwara. The launch programme was held at the Panchayat Samiti auditorium, where District Collector Namit Mehta was present.

During the event, the District Collector reviewed departmental stalls set up at the venue, released the campaign poster and flagged off an awareness rally to mark the beginning of the special drive.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad Riya Dabi said that during the first phase of the Sampurnata Abhiyan, Khairwara block achieved notable progress across several parameters. She added that in September 2025, the Khushhal Khairwara Abhiyan was also organised, during which nearly 100 per cent achievement was recorded across 12 parameters. She informed that under the second phase, the campaign will continue until 14 April, with a focus on improving performance against the prescribed benchmarks.
Focus on Achieving 100 Per Cent Targets
District Collector Namit Mehta instructed officials to ensure registration of all children up to six years of age at Anganwadi centres during the two-and-a-half-month-long campaign. He also emphasised the need to ensure functional toilet facilities at all Anganwadis and to make serious and coordinated efforts to achieve 100 per cent targets across all key indicators.
He described the Aspirational Block Programme as an important national-level initiative and stressed the need for continuous monitoring of progress. Expressing confidence in the block’s potential, he said efforts should be made to secure a top-10 ranking for Khairwara at both the state and national levels.
Awareness Through Street Play
As part of the programme, a street play was presented by Seva Mandir, focusing on themes such as nutrition, maternal care during pregnancy, immunisation and promotion of institutional deliveries. The performance effectively conveyed awareness messages to those present.
The programme was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jai Singh, Tehsildar Revantram, Block Development Officer Madan Lohar, along with district and sub-division level officers from various departments.
