Udaipur, 29 January (Udaipur Kiran): The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival, organised by Hindustan Zinc Limited in collaboration with Seher and the Rajasthan government’s tourism department, will return from 6 to 8 February 2026, marking a decade of the festival under the theme “Music Without Borders”.

Celebrating ten years of positioning India as a key destination for world music, the three-day festival will feature artists from over 10 countries alongside some of India’s most renowned musical names. More than 20 bands and performers will present a wide range of genres, from folk and indigenous traditions to contemporary pop and global fusion, offering audiences a unique cultural experience.
Among the major Indian attractions are Bollywood and Sufi singer Kailash Kher, composer-singer Amit Trivedi, and popular independent pop singer Jonita Gandhi. The line-up also includes folk-influenced singer Taba Chake and classical vocalist Amrit Ramnath. In addition, Indian fusion rock pioneers Indian Ocean and contemporary producer OAFF will bring a modern energy to the festival.
Strengthening its global presence, the festival will host several international artists performing in India for the first time. These include Selen Sümbültepe from Turkey, Calle Mambo from Chile, and Valerie Ekoume from Cameroon. Other international performers include Sofiane Saidi, Lucibela, 9 Grader Nord, Wolosi, and Spain’s Flamenco Dream, a father-son duo known for carrying forward a multi-generational musical legacy.
The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival is India’s only music festival curated around three distinct moods of the day. Morning performances focused on meditation will take place at Manji Ka Ghat from 9 am, followed by romantic afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Pal from 3:30 pm. High-energy contemporary performances will conclude each evening at Gandhi Ground from 6 pm onwards.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, said completing ten years of the festival is a significant milestone that reflects its growing cultural importance in India and globally. He noted that the festival has evolved into a global platform celebrating world music while showcasing Rajasthan’s rich musical heritage and strengthening Udaipur’s identity as a centre for international cultural exchange.
Founder of Seher, Sanjeev Bhargava, said this year’s edition promises an immersive experience that the festival is known for, from meditative mornings to high-energy evenings. He added that the focus remains on bringing rare global sounds to Indian audiences in a thoughtfully curated manner deeply connected with the spirit of Udaipur.
Through initiatives such as the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival, Hindustan Zinc continues to promote India’s cultural heritage, using music as a universal language to foster global connection while positioning Rajasthan as an emerging international cultural hub.
