New Delhi, October 8 (Udaipur Kiran): Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj have reached their career-best positions in the latest ICC Test rankings after their impressive performances in the first Test against West Indies in Ahmedabad during the World Test Championship series.

Jadeja, who scored an unbeaten 104 runs, jumped four places to reach 25th position in the batting rankings, his best-ever ranking so far. His previous best was 29th. He now holds 644 rating points. With four wickets in the second innings, Jadeja has also strengthened his top spot in the all-rounder rankings, increasing his lead to 125 points.
Pacer Mohammed Siraj continued his fine form from the England tour, taking 4/40 and 3/31 in the match. This performance helped him climb three places to reach 12th position in the bowling rankings, crossing 700 rating points for the first time.
Among batters, K.L. Rahul and Dhruv Jurel also gained positions after scoring centuries. Rahul moved up four places to 35th, while Jurel climbed 20 places to 65th. Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who took two economical wickets, rose seven places to 21st in the bowling rankings.
In contrast, West Indies players failed to make an impact, with no batter crossing fifty and no bowler taking more than two wickets.
T20 Rankings Update
In the ICC Men’s T20I Rankings, Australia captain Mitchell Marsh has re-entered the top 10 batters for the first time since February 2024, after scoring 85 and 103 runs* against New Zealand. Kiwi batter Tim Robinson, with a 106 run* knock, jumped 58 places to a joint 22nd rank.
Bangladesh’s Saif Hassan entered the top 20 after scoring an unbeaten 64 in the third T20 against Afghanistan, helping Bangladesh complete a 3-0 series sweep. Teammates Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain also rose to 37th and 53rd positions, respectively.
Among bowlers, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan regained the second position with figures of 4/18 and 2/29, his best rank since June last year. Noor Ahmad climbed to 17th, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman to 23rd. From Bangladesh, Tanzim Hasan Sakib rose to 33rd, Shoriful Islam to 49th, and Nasum Ahmed made a remarkable leap from 131st to 44th.
