Rajsamand student asks PM Modi how to manage studies with exercise

Udaipur : A student from Rajsamand, Rajasthan, asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi how to manage studies with exercise during the PM’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha” program on Monday.

The student, Dheeraj Suthar, is a class 12 student at the Government Higher Secondary School Kundwa in Devgarh block of Rajsamand. He asked the PM how to balance studies with exercise, as both physical and mental health are important.

In response to Dheeraj’s question, the PM said, “Many of you must use mobile phones. Some of you may even have the habit of using mobile phones for hours. Just as a mobile phone needs to be charged from time to time, so does the body need exercise to be charged. It is not right to study all the time and stop other activities. You cannot live like that. It is important to balance life. If you are not healthy, you will lose the ability to do anything. A healthy body is essential for a healthy mind.”

The PM also stressed the importance of sunlight and sleep. He said, “Think about how much time you spend in sunlight. You can also read a book in sunlight. In addition to studies, it is also important to get enough sleep at night. Many people watch reels even at bedtime and keep watching them. A lot of time is wasted in this. Modern science also gives great importance to sleep. Enough sleep is important for health. Lack of sleep is harmful to health. It is also important that sleep be of good quality. Sleep should be deep.”

The PM also stressed the importance of nutrition and a balanced diet. He said, “You should eat a healthy diet. Eat fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Avoid junk food and processed food. Drink plenty of water.”

Dheeraj’s question was well-received by the audience. The PM’s response was also appreciated.
