Jaipur, March 7 – With the weakening of cold northern winds, Rajasthan is set to experience a gradual rise in daytime temperatures starting today. On Thursday, cities like Dungarpur and Barmer recorded daytime temperatures of up to 35°C, signaling the arrival of warmer conditions across the state.
According to weather experts, temperatures are expected to increase further over the next week, with many cities likely to reach 35°C by Holi and Dhulandi.

Temperature Surge Observed Across Rajasthan
The last 24 hours saw clear skies across Rajasthan, with strong sunlight leading to a 4-5°C rise in daytime temperatures in several cities.
- Barmer recorded the highest temperature at 36.4°C, making it the hottest city in the state.
- Dungarpur followed closely at 35.1°C, while several other cities, including Jaipur, Pilani, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur, Churu, and Dholpur, recorded temperatures above 30°C.
Heat Intensifies in Western Rajasthan
Western Rajasthan witnessed significant warming, with temperatures climbing 4-5°C higher than the previous day.
- Jaisalmer recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5°C
- Jodhpur saw 33.7°C,
- Jalore reached 34.3°C,
- Bikaner experienced 32.6°C
Rising temperatures made the afternoon hours noticeably warmer, marking the onset of summer-like conditions in many parts of the state.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, Rajasthan is expected to experience dry weather conditions for the next 2-3 days, with temperatures rising by another 2-3°C.
