Jaipur, October 27 (Udaipur Kiran): The Rajasthan High Court has received assurance from the Department of Personnel (DoP) that the Jaipur Bench of the Civil Services Appellate Tribunal will hold hearings every working day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with at least one bench functioning daily. Additionally, the tribunal will soon be equipped with video conferencing (VC) facilities and digital display systems for better transparency and accessibility.

Recording the assurance on file, the court directed the Registrar of the Tribunal to submit a compliance report within one week. The court also exempted the DoP Secretary from personal appearance in the next hearing but instructed her to monitor the implementation of the promised measures.
The order was passed by Justice Ashok Kumar Jain’s single bench while hearing a petition filed by Suman Kumari.
During the hearing, DoP Secretary Shuchi Tyagi and Tribunal Registrar Rakesh Meena appeared before the court. The Secretary assured that VC facilities will be made available in every bench, and the tribunal’s website will include a live digital display system. Display boards will also be installed inside courtrooms and outside the tribunal building, allowing lawyers and litigants to track case proceedings remotely.
In case of an emergency or closure of all benches, circuit benches operating at other locations such as Jodhpur will conduct hearings via video conferencing, with case records being shared online from the Jaipur Bench.
Earlier, advocates had informed the court that although the Civil Services Appellate Tribunal was established to address service-related disputes of government employees, hearings often got delayed due to the non-formation or cancellation of benches. The court had previously directed the government to ensure VC infrastructure for uninterrupted hearings, a directive now set for full implementation.
