New Delhi, October 5 (Udaipur Kiran) : US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gore, welcomed Admiral Samuel Paparo, the Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, during his visit to New Delhi from October 3 to 8. This trip aims to enhance the crucial defense partnership between the United States and India and strengthen military cooperation between the two nations.
Gore shared photos on social media platform X, expressing his honor in hosting Admiral Paparo, noting that he is one of America’s key military leaders. The US Pacific Command, which he leads, oversees around 400,000 military and civilian personnel across a vast area that spans nearly half the globe.
Throughout his visit, Admiral Paparo held discussions with senior Indian defense officials, including Chief of Defense Staff General N. S. Raja Subramani, Army Chief General Dheeraj Seth, Air Force Vice Chief Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, and Integrated Defense Staff Chief Air Marshal Tejinder Singh. Gore highlighted that these meetings reflect the growing strength, ambition, and significance of the US-India defense partnership.
During his six-day stay, Admiral Paparo is expected to address shared security priorities, digital transformation, emerging technologies, regional strategic stability, and maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. Earlier, he met with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, where they discussed enhancing security partnerships and maritime collaboration.
Admiral Paparo arrived in New Delhi on Saturday, warmly welcomed by Ambassador Gore, with the primary goal of further solidifying defense ties between India and the United States.
