Punjabis voted for ‘Punjabiyat & better future’ : BJP’s Sudan Singh

Chandigarh : BJP Vice-President and in-charge of Northern zone states Sudan Singh said the peaceful polling in Punjab on Sunday by the astute Punjabi voters reflects the mood of the state and claimed that people of the state have voted today for Punjabiyat, peaceful and prosperous Punjab.

Dubbing today as a “historic day” in the destiny of the state, the BJP leader said Punjab has a unique status and role in the country. Being a border state next to a hostile country it is not easy,however, the Punjabis have always stood united and committed towards the nation. “I thank and salute the astute voter for having cast there precious votes in a peaceful democratic way,” he said.

Sudan Singh said the border state has the distinction of always standing tall with the nation. Be it protecting the borders or ushering in a green revolution which made India self reliant in food production. He said the staff which manned the booths for voting need to be appreciated for their outstanding duty towards the state and nation.
