Faridabad, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran) : In a distressing incident in Faridabad, Haryana, a young girl was rescued from a borewell early Monday morning after a prolonged effort by rescue teams. Unfortunately, she was found unresponsive and has since been admitted to a hospital for urgent medical care.
The incident occurred in the Sihi village area of Sector 8 on Sunday evening, when the girl fell into the borewell. Authorities were alerted, prompting the mobilization of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams. A joint operation was launched late into the night, involving the NDRF, SDRF, Haryana Fire Service, and local medical and municipal authorities.
After significant challenges, the rescue teams successfully extracted the girl from the borewell. NDRF Deputy Commandant Kunal Tiwari informed the media that the incident was reported around 6 PM, with their control room receiving notification at 7:45 PM. The NDRF team arrived at the site by 9:05 PM.
The operation faced major hurdles, particularly due to the borewell’s depth, estimated between 250 to 300 feet, with water present at around 125 feet. This made it difficult to ascertain the girl’s condition. Tiwari emphasized that without the cooperation of local administration, the rescue operation would not have been feasible.
By approximately 3:50 AM, the girl was successfully brought to safety. The rescue teams received all necessary resources from the administration to carry out the operation effectively.
