London, July 24 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in London on Wednesday for a two-day official visit, where a large number of members from the Indian community welcomed him with great enthusiasm. A crowd of excited people holding the Indian tricolour was seen gathered to greet him. Expressing his gratitude, Prime Minister Modi described the welcome as heart-touching.

This is the first stop in Prime Minister Modi’s foreign tour. The Indian community in London gave him a grand reception. Sharing several photographs from the welcome event on his X post, he wrote, “Overwhelmed by the warm welcome of the Indian community in the UK. Their affection and passion for India’s progress is truly heartwarming.”
This is Narendra Modi’s fourth visit to the United Kingdom as Prime Minister. During this visit, the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is expected to be signed, which will take bilateral trade between the two countries to new heights. As part of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will meet King Charles III and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is also highly enthusiastic about the FTA between India and the UK. Ahead of his meeting with Prime Minister Modi, he issued a statement saying that investment and trade deals worth around 6 billion pounds (approximately ₹63,000 crore) have been agreed upon. He said, “The historic trade agreement with India will create thousands of new jobs, open new opportunities for businesses, and bring growth.”
